JEE Main Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018. From 2019 onwards, this examination is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main will be held twice a year for the admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes i.e.  B.E./ B.Tech. & B.Arch./ B.Planning Courses in IITs, NITs, IITs and other Central Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

The following Subject combination is required in the qualifying examination for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes B.E./B.Tech. & B. Arch./B. Planning Courses in NITs, IIITs, and other Central Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs):-

Course Eligibility
B.E/B.Tech Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
B.Arch. Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
B.Planning Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics

Qualifying Marks for Admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs: Candidate must have score the minimum 75% marks or should be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination of their respective boards. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category minimum qualifying marks required is 65% in the 12th Class Examination.
